USASA Big Alaska Snow Series NEWS 1-22-09

Giant Slalom (GS) competition @ Alyeska, Sunday, Jan 25, on the Race Trail

This event is for snowboarders only.  The Race Trail is the run you see when you look straight out from the day lodge.  To get to the start area you ride Chair 4 and then come down Don's Run or Steilhang.

Day of event registration 9 - 10 am only in day lodge @ Alyeska.  Please respect the volunteers--we need time to generate start lists so that we can run this event in a timely manner.  Registration CLOSES at 10 am.

$30 (multiple event day), a NEW Alyeska waiver/release form signed by parent, proof of USASA registration, and you must buy a lift ticket. 

If you're not in the Big Alaska training program:  You can complete your USASA forms with payment, Alyeska waiver/release and Big Alaska waiver forms in person and pay the fees--you must have parent's signature and you must submit paperwork BEFORE the 10 am deadline.  But it's better to get your USASA registration done online at www.usasa.org.

Volunteer gate judges?  The GS course will be longer and steeper than the Slalom course so I'll need some more gate judges.  You get a lift ticket voucher for the day of competition and an additional voucher that you can use for another day--please check in with me (before 9:30 if possible!) to get your vouchers.  Email or phone me to let me know you're going to help before Sunday.  Thanks for helping out the kiddos!

Coaches will be at the event, competing and coaching.
