USASA 2009 Nationals Results

What an intense week of competition in Copper Mountain, Colorado.  Congratulations to all the Big AK competitors, you did Alaska proud.  I got dozens of compliments from the other Series about Alaskans' excellent attitude--your great sportsmanship and total lack of complaining.  We had 4 medals and 26 Top Ten finishes.  Wahoo!

GS Bronze:  Raven Malone (Breaker Girls)

Attached is the Excel spreadsheet listing each finish place and the number of competitors in the group.  For example, 1/32 means 1st place out of 32 in the group.

A HUGE thank you to our Nationals coaches--you guys are amazing!  Thanks to Head Coaches Paul Kelly and Brad Christensen for putting it all together with Coaches Brendan Anderson, Loghan Audett, Sean Rollnick, Beki Toussaint, Rick Malone and newly certified coach Steve Voth.  These coaches take time off from their paying jobs to volunteer at Nationals.  Please remember to thank them for their dedication to Big AK!

The Big AK Board of Directors is having a meeting Thursday, April 23, everybody is welcome to attend, as always.  If you have comments or feedback about any aspect of Big AK that you would like the BOD to listen to, contact any Board member before the meeting (Ron Dailey, Steve Stassel, Doug Hupp, Jody Moses, Rick Quattlebaum, Alison Sterley) or simply reply to this email, your feedback is important.  We're working on ideas for next year, and as always if you have time to help, let us know!  Anyone interested in becoming the new Series Director?  Or Co-Series Director?
