Northern Boarder Open - Sunday, January 7th at Alyeska

Northern Boarder, in conjunction with Big Alaska, is bringing back the Northern Boarder Open - King of the Quad. Each Rider is paired with a judge at the top of Chair 6 and gets a single run to the bottom of Chair 6. The judge follows and scores the Rider on a scale of 0-100 points on things like air, style, control, the sweetness of the line you pick, fluidity, creativity and mountain etiquette. This is a snowboard event only.

Important Points for Maximum Fun

Cost $15 (free to all Big Alaska Team & Mighty Mites training program members)
Pick up bibs Sunday, January 7^th in the Daylodge starting at 9:30 am.
Mandatory Riders Meeting at 11:10 am at the top of Chair 6
First runs start from the top of Chair 6 at 11:30am
Rider start times will be posted Sunday, January 7^th at 9:30 am

Lift ticket discounts for those with race bibs. Get your lift ticket after checking in at the Big Alaska table on Sunday, January 7th.

· There are limited spaces available because a single judge must follow all competitors in an age group. Total number of competitors will be about 70. Register early.

· MOUNTAIN COURTESY will be strictly enforced—this means you will be DISQUALIFIED if you cut someone off, cause a crash, go out-of-bounds, stop in the middle of a trail or are rude or disrespectful to anybody else on the mountain.

· Age brackets will be determined based on number of Riders registered

· You MUST BE ABLE to complete your run in a maximum of 10-minutes!

· This unique and fun event doesn’t count toward National Ranking or Nationals Qualification

FREE 2-Event USASA Temporary Membership included in your registration fee:

THANKS JAY! For riders who are not USASA members, Northern Boarder will provide a complimentary 2-event USASA temporary membership with registration in the Northern Boarder Open. Riders under 18 must have a parent complete a USASA registration form and the Alyeska and Big Alaska waiver forms. Riders over 18 can complete their own forms. The temporary USASA membership is good for any two future USASA Big Alaska Snow Series events this winter. Check our schedule at www.bigalaskasnow.net
