It snowed big huge flakes on New Year's Eve - I am taking it as a sign that  Mother Nature is ready to dump  her bounty of snow on Alaska.  Thanks to those of you that could make it, we had a great time at the Railjam and Torchlight Parade!

 

It is finally here. We are ready to get into the Big Alaska training season & competition series.

 

Here is the schedule of events for the week of Jan 1st:

 

Tues Jan 3 – There is no training at AGA. The first AGA training will be Tuesday Jan 17th.

 

Wed Jan 4 – Big Alaska training at Hilltop Ski Area 4:30 – 7:30 Check in and sign up at the Big Alaska table in the chalet. All training program forms must be completed and turned in before training.  Fees must be paid.  All forms are available on line.

 

Wed Jan 4 - Watch Channel 11 News for a special segment on the Big Alaska training program!

 

Saturday Jan 7 & Sunday Jan 8 

2 days of Big Alaska training at Alyeska Resort 11 - 3:30. Check in and sign up at the Big Alaska table. Big Alaska will do sign ups in the Daylodge this weekend only and give out directions for the new location for our area the following week. All training program forms must be completed and turned in before training. All forms are available on line.

 

Saturday Jan 8 - Due to weather conditions and course availability – the USASA Big Alaska Snow Series Slalom has been canceled. It has been rescheduled for Feb 5th.

 

USASA website updated with revised race schedule:  www.usasa.org to Competition Regions to Big Alaska Snow Series.

 

Arctic Winter Games Team Alaska:  Looking for 2 coaches (1 male and 1 female
over 21) and 8 athletes (4 males and 4 females) for the games March 3-11.
Riders will stay in Soldotna with Arctic Winter Games and bus to Alyeska.
